2004 Gmc Truck Driver Door Window Will Not Work

Hey guys have an 03 silverado and just started having a problem with my drivers side door.

2004 gmc truck driver door window will not work.

Then i ran a hot wire to the green wire in the harness and plugged the switch back in and it works. Passengers window works fine drivers worked when you slammed door now nothing. I jumped the connection and got the window to work so the motor aint bad. The switch for the passenger window does work though as well as the power locks and power mirror adjusters so i know the door has power.

Yes the power window and lock button on the passenger side door do not work. 2007 silverado ltz 4 door drivers side windows don t work but passenger side windows work fine from the master switch even after replacement. This has happened to my canyon twice before. This time it is half way down.

And got a new switch. Odd that i have 4 5 volts at the plug to the window motor when the switch is activated even with the new switch and 12 volts to the switch and the window lock out does not stop the other switches from. I have no power to my window switches mirror switch locks lights and doesn t ding when door is open with key in ignition. Thanks i have a 2003 gmc sierra 1500.

Gmc power window trouble shooting is not difficult but it requires knowledge of the system. The first two times however my window was in the up position. Another thing i just noticed is that when i put it in drive it will lock. My driver side window will not go up or down and my door locks won t work either.

Also the power mirror adjusts the drivers side but not the passengerside. The hot wire must have broke in the door jam. I have a 2004 gmc canyon. Passenger side works find though.

The regulator doesn t make any noise the window doesn t move nothing. The buttons from the drivers side for the passenger side do not work either but the drivers side window and lock work fine. Problems with power windows can be irritating and cause discomfort for those in the vehicle.
